Dr. Kolawole Ogunsina

Dr. Kolawole (Kola) Ogunsina is the first Nigerian to hold a Ph.D. in Aerospace, Aeronautical and Astronautical Engineering from the School of Aeronautics and Astronautics at Purdue University. His doctoral work pioneered AI-driven solutions for aerospace and aviation sectors, where he integrated AI and distributed ledger technology (Blockchain) to enhance airline disruption management with significant efficacy. Alongside his doctoral research, Kola collaborated with the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) to develop and validate operations research tools assessing the environmental impacts of airline operations and the reemergence of commercial supersonic travel, contributing to policy initiatives for reducing aviation emissions. With extensive experience across airlines, aerospace OEMs, and FAA-led policy efforts, Dr. Ogunsina is an established leader in applying AI, emerging technologies, and systems thinking to solve complex aerospace, aviation, and societal challenges. He is currently a Data and AI Scientist that specializes in creating and validating responsible AI solutions for disruption management, aligning technological innovation with industry needs.
